Lakers VS Celtics Game 7: NBA Finals Game 7 – The Los Angeles Lakers won their 16th NBA Championship. Lakers defeated Boston Celtics with a score of 83-79. The rivalry between Boston Celtics VS Los Angeles Lakers had been less intense since the retirements of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson in 1990.
The Los Angeles found a way and beat the Boston Celtics for their second straight NBA title. Ron Artest, first-time champion, scored 20 points for the Lakers, Pau Gasol added 19 points and 18 rebounds and Kobe Bryant had 23 points. The Lakers won their fifth title in 11 seasons.They moved one championship behind Celtics’ 17 banners for the overall NBA lead. Paul Pierce scored 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics while Kevin Garnett had 17 points.
